I recently modelled what was known as the Oil and Gas Price Mechanism (OGPM) designed to tax revenues in a high price environment ensuring the UK government capture some of the higher than expected profits. It seems that we may be entering that period now. Although the price is linked to CPI, there is a danger of cost escalation to be cognisant of.
